An American war dodger who fled the U.S. military because he believed the invasion of Iraq was criminal has lost his bid for refugee status in Canada in a case closely watched on both sides of the border.
Guess that's not going to work out too well for him.
In other news, I firmly believe that juries are nearly always comprised of the 12 people too stupid to get out of jury duty. Apparently a prosecutor agrees. Not that I know anything about the Blake case. I'm just saying...
And finally, Portland continues its descent into asininity. Of course the Mayor of Portland needs oversight over the FBI. Of course. Even better when you can get great quotes like this from local residents:

To recap, 19 out of 19 terrorists on 9/11 were Arab Muslims. Which, to be fair, could have been a complete coincidence.

(1) The Mayor is not requesting oversight over the FBI. He is requesitng oversight over his own police officers which have been assigned to the JTTF.
(2) Whatever the origins of the hijackers, millions of other Arabs and Muslims have never lifted a finger against us.

Of course, it really is beside the point. You've got your Oklahoma City bombing (think white all-American male) and let's not forget about a certain post-9/11 case where a different white all-American male was found guilty of conspiring to blow up a court house. And so on. Of course, you can support racial profiling all you want. I choose not to.
Also, if you've been following Mr. Ahmed's comments, you'll note that he's been quite civil to the FBI and has cooperated with them. You'll note that he's been very much a cross-cultural uniter, bringing people of many races and religions together. Unity. Think about it.
